Day 1 – Arrival in Bahir Dar

Fly to Bahir Dar and begin your journey with a visit to the bustling local market, followed by a scenic boat trip on Lake Tana to explore the historic monasteries of the Zege Peninsula. In the afternoon, travel to the iconic Blue Nile Falls for a refreshing hike.

Day 2 – Royal Castles of Gondar

Drive to Gondar, Ethiopia’s former royal capital. Visit the UNESCO-listed Royal Enclosure, home to a complex of 17th-century castles. In the afternoon, explore the beautifully frescoed Debre Birhan Selassie Church and the peaceful Fasilides Bath.

Day 3 – Trekking in the Simien Mountains

Fly to Lalibela, a spiritual highlight of Ethiopia. Visit the remarkable rock-hewn churches, carved into solid rock and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7 – Asheton Mountain & Local Traditions

Hike to Asheton Maryam Monastery, perched high in the mountains. In the afternoon, take part in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and learn how to prepare injera, the country’s beloved staple.

Day 8 – Return to Addis Ababa & Farewell
